Regional

Despite being geared to act in any emergent or developing country, SOFID is particularly focused on the following regions:

Africa: Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, St. Tome and Principe, South Africa, Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia;
Asia: China, India and East Timor;
America: Brazil and Venezuela.

Sectors

Concerning activity sectors, SOFID is more involved in the manufacturing, infrastructure (including renewable energy), tourism and financial sectors.

Business

With regards to business priorities, SOFID supports mainly SME’s. In a risk sharing perspective, SOFID may also fund major companies and public companies, if privately managed.
