TV Cabo – Televisão por Cabo de Angola, Lda. is a company under Angolan law resulting from a partnership between Visabeira Group and the Angolan company Angola Telecom.

The company is currently the only content and data cable operator in the country offering a joint service of digital TV and broadband internet, using an all-digital technology which contributes to the assessment that Angola is at the forefront of such services in Africa.

Operating successfully in Luanda since 2006, TV Cabo Angola has recently expanded its activity to the cities of Benguela and Lobito, from which has resulted in a total investment amount that exceeds USD 11 million. The project, based upon an advanced converging network of broadband in IP which makes possible the interaction of different services, such as video and data, was financed by the Banco de Fomento Angola (BFA), by means of a loan in Kwanzas, equivalent to up to USD 6.6 million, having SOFID approved a guarantee with a maximum amount of up to EUR 2.5 million.

This is a project with great economic and social relevancy, whose offer, in addition to answering to the increasing of family’s demand for information, cultural, education and entertainment services, will catalyze companies and public services to adopt integrated solutions for its growing needs of communication and data transmission in larger quantities, becoming therefore a leverage tool for business and regional economy development.
